Smoked Trout Mousse

This recipe has been a hit everywhere that I have served it! Even people who don’t eat smoked fish have commented how delicious it is!

Ingredients

Instructions

  • 1. Place all ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
  • 2. With a spatula, mix all ingredients together until well incorporated. Whip them until the mixture gets light and frothy. You may have to add a bit more cream to accomplish this.
  • 3. Place the mousse mixture into a bowl that has been lined with plastic wrap. Pack it tight and then cover with the excess plastic wrap that is hanging from the rim.
  • 4. Refrigerate for 2 hours to overnight.
  • 5. To serve, unwrap top of bowl and place onto a serving plate/platter upside down. Remove plastic wrap and serve with crackers.
  • 6. (Great with a glass of smoky Chardonnay!)
