Ginger Citrus Tuna Salad Sandwiches

A tasty twist on the classic tuna salad sandwich.

  • 1. Season both sides of the tuna steaks with Wild Cheff Ginger Citrus Blend and then drizzle olive oil over both sides.
  • 2. Place the tuna steaks on your outdoor grill or heat approximately 4 tbsp of olive oil in a large saute pan over medium high heat and cook for approximately 2 minutes on each side.
  • 3. You do not want tuna to be overcooked, but to remain pinkish or medium rare.
  • 4. [Vinaigrette: In a small bowl, combine 3-4 tbsp of olive oil, WC Lemon Pepper, lime zest, lime juice, soy sauce, and WC Cajun Spice Blend. Add the avocados to the vinaigrette.]

  • 6. Add red onion and mix well.
  • 7. Pour the vinaigrette mixture over the tuna and carefully mix.
  • 8. Let sit for 5 minutes and then gently remix.
  • 9. Serve on buttered and toasted Kaiser, Ciabatta or hot dog rolls with lettuce and tomato. Serve with fresh coleslaw.
